JinkoSolar delivered 18.21GW of solar panels globally during the first half of 2022, representing a year-on-year increase of 79%, according to the company’s recently released report for the period. The figure places the company in the leading position in global rankings for sales.

One of the major attractions on the LONGi stand was its selection of modules for various application scenarios. 54-and 66-cell modules, offering greater flexibility, higher power and lower cost, are particularly focused on distributed, residential and commercial applications, with the Hi-MO 5 (72-cell) module, widely considered to be the optimal product in terms of size, compatibility with the industrial chain, product value and lifecycle reliability, addressing both utility-scale power plants and the DG market.

LONGi has supplied 2MW of its high efficiency Hi-MO 5 bifacial modules to Thai EPC KP Greenergy for a floating project in Thailand’s Saraburi Province. Under development since March 2021, the project has now been connected to the grid and become the province’s first floating PV project.

GoodWe has participated at Intersolar South America 2022 in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, showcasing its third generation DNS G3 and MS G3 on-grid inverters.

Sungrow has announced during its participation at Intersolar South America that its cumulative shipments to Latin America have now reached 9GW. Sungrow has announced that it has been listed in Forbes China’s top 50 most innovative companies - the only inverter company to be included.

A research paper entitled “Prospects for photovoltaic technology”, authored by Li Zhenguo, founder & president of LONGi Green Energy Technology (also the principal of LONGi’s Central Research and Development Institute) has been published in Engineering, an academic journal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

The Urrá Public Services Company and the Luxpower Consortium have announced the commencement of the Urrá 25MW solar park project in Colombia, exclusively deploying Trina Solar Vertex 600W+ ultra-high power modules and TrinaTracker smart tracking solutions, including Vanguard 2P trackers, a SuperTrack smart control system and SCADA.
