JinkoSolar has announced that it has entered into a partnership with one of Vietnam’s major module companies and signed the first batch of residential energy storage orders. For the Vietnamese market, the launch of JinkoSolar's residential storage system will act as a strong support in the development of a local power infrastructure and provision of more stable electricity to meet residential needs.

Trina Solar has successfully completed non-uniform snow-load testing at the CGC East China PV Testing Center with its new-generation Vertex 670W modules. Results demonstrated that the critical snow-load of the five modules tested exceeded 6,600 Pa, actually reaching 7,000 Pa, equivalent to the pressure generated by 2.8 meters of snow, much higher than conventional non-uniform snow-load norms. This represents proof of the excellent snow-load resistance of Vertex 670W, the strength convergence of the non-uniform snow-load testing reflecting the product’s consistently excellent quality.

In recent testing of home storage PV systems carried out by the University of Applied Sciences (HTW) in Berlin, GoodWe’s hybrid inverters and high-voltage batteries were once again outstanding.

"The current status of the energy storage industry is much the same as that of the photovoltaic industry ten years ago", is an opinion expressed by many professionals in energy storage. Grace Solar has shipped products for 200 roofs in Jakarta, Indonesia and has now entered the installation stage for the project’s first phase. The total capacity of the project is 70 MW, divided into 600 roofs. The products for its second phase will be shipped in August, with the whole project expected to be completed in 2 years.

Risen Energy has announced that its US subsidiary, Risen Energy America Inc, and Global Energy Generation LLC (Doral LLC), a leading developer of renewable energy projects, primarily in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions, have signed a 480MW high-efficiency bi-facial module supply agreement for the first phase of the Mammoth Solar project in Indiana.

In recent years, China's PV industry has developed rapidly, its newly installed capacity ranking first in the world for eight consecutive years. The time is right for the integration of smart manufacturing with the PV industry, based on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, industrial Internet and big data.
