The inherent property of silicon generally means the higher the temperature, the lower the efficiency. With monocrystalline PERC cells having a temperature coefficient of -0.4% -0.5%/ ℃, N-type TOPCon cells and modules differentiate themselves by having one below -0.3 %/ ℃. This means that, whereas a PERC panel loses half of one percent of its power with each degree of temperature increase, an N-type TOPCon panel will lose only 0.3% or less.

Trina Solar has published a white paper on tracker compatibility for its 210 Vertex modules, covering products from 14 leading tracker manufacturers which together account for more than 90% of global shipments. The white paper analyses compatibility, mechanical load assessment and impact on BOS costs, with Trina also releasing an online 2.0 version of a matching tool which incorporates intelligent databases of compatible trackers and inverters.

JinkoSolar has announced a collaboration with the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in a landmark deal to deliver its high efficiency Tiger Neo bifacial modules for a 200 MW solar farm, the first solar-powered oilfield to be built by China’s oil giant. The plant, located in Yumen, marks the beginning of a new, greener era for the oil and gas sector.
