PV inverter manufacturer KACO new energy has opened a sales and support office in Tokyo, Japan, to support its business growth in the country.
The company has an exclusive distribution agreement with GREEN TEC, which is a full systems supplier in the Japan.
KACO said that the agreement between the companies initially intended to enable 50MW of inverter sales but due to the growth in the Japanese market the target in 2013 had been increased to 100MW in PV inverter sales.
The new office is designed to support planning, commissioning and servicing of joint PV projects, as well as providing technical training.
KACO has recruited Toshihiro Hiraishi, a trained electrical engineer, to head up the new office.
