An Adani executive told consultancy firm Mercom Capital Group that the firm had experienced delays in getting land from APSPCL, but was now ready ahead of its deadline.

Making up the rest of the Kurnool Solar Park capacity, Softbank's JV with Foxconn and Bharti Enterprises, SBG Cleantech, completed its 350MW of projects in March. The 500MW originally won by SunEdison was also completed in March by Greenko having acquired SunEdison's India assets after the US firm went bankrupt. Azure Power also commissioned its 100MW in May.

Now the completion of the second 20MW section of Adani’s 50MW project is imminent.

Adani has already commissioned what was previously india’s largest solar park standing at 648MW at Kamuthi in Tamil Nadu. A Guardian article also claimed last January that an 850MW solar project had been built in Qinghai province, China. before Kurnool, these were the two largest solar installations in the world.
