The deadline for bid submissions is 27 April 2018.

The original tender was released on 21 December 2018, but the Discom cancelled it on Monday due to receiving poor response.

Meanwhile, MSEDCL has also invited expressions of interest (EOIs) for the setting up of 1GW of floating solar at the Ujani Dam, Solapur District, Maharashtra. At the time of writing, PV Tech was unable to access further detail on this issuance on the Discom's website.

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) recently consulted the industry on 10GW of floating solar and there have been several floating PV announcements since then.

PV Tech also recently published a detailed analysis of a 500kW floating solar project in Kerala.
