Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender for EPC services on two 100MW(AC) solar PV projects for state-owned mining corporate Coal India Limited (CIL) in Madhya Pradesh.

The projects will be located at the Neemuch-Mandsaur Solar Park and will require content to be sourced locally, as under the Domestic Content Requirement (DRC).

The tender is for design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the projects with indigenous cells and modules under domestic competitive bidding. The scope of the tender includes O&M services for a period of 10 years.

In 2015, CIL signed an MoU with SECI to install 1GW of solar power plants across India. Last year SECI signed agreements with CIL for 200MW solar in Madhya Pradesh to be utilised by CIL subsidiaires Northern Coalfields (NCL) and South Eastern Coalfields (SECL).

Indian utility NTPC has also seen a flurry of DCR tenders recently.
