Suzlon sells two solar subsidiaries to CLP India

Indian renewable energy firm Suzlon Energy Ltd has sold two solar subsidiaries, SE Solar Ltd and Gale Solarfarms Ltd, to CLP Wind Farms (India) Private Ltd.

The sale was for a total of INR991 million (US$14.4 million), according to a filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

SE Solar was sold for INR765.5 million and Gale Solarfarms for INR 225.4 million.

No further details on the matter were disclosed in the filing.

CLP India made its debut in solar energy in June 2016 by buying a 49% stake in a SE Solar.

Suzlon originally acquired Gale Solarfarms in April 2016.
