Germany has now installed more than 100GW of solar PV after adding 1.1GW in January 2025, according to monthly data from the German Federal Network Agency.

As has been the case in many of Germany’s recent solar PV auctions, the innovation tender ended up oversubscribed with 1.8GW of capacity.

Germany has added more than 2.6GW of solar capacity in the first three months of the year, according to The Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur).

The Federal Network Agency announced that with a tendered quantity of 1.95GW, 347 bids with a volume of 2.87GW were submitted.

Industry dominates wind once more as it reaps all 202MW-plus contracts on offer at joint tender, held just after Germany adopted a 98GW-by-2030 PV goal.

Energy storage systems paired with solar can receive up to €3,200 with battery sizes capped at 30kWh.
