Canada-headquartered PV module manufacturer Silfab Solar was the only North American manufacturer to achieve ‘Top Performer’ status in PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) 2019 PV Module Reliability Scorecard tests.

PV module manufacturer, Seraphim Solar System Co was established back in 2011 and PV Tech has known the company from its formative years. Yet, there have been periods in the past when things went almost silent on the news front, not helped by the fact that the company has remained private over the years.

‘Solar Module Super League’ (SMSL) member, Trina Solar has achieved ‘Top Performer’ status in the 2019 PV Module Reliability Scorecard report issued by PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) in collaboration with DNV GL, for the fifth consecutive time.

According to DuPont Photovoltaic and Advanced Materials latest ‘Global PV Reliability Study’ that focuses on field inspection and analysis of 6.5 million modules, 355 installations and 1.8GW of total power, PV backsheet material defects have increased by a significant 47% from the 2018 report.

Major China-headquartered PV module manufacturer, Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co has received ‘Top Performer’ status in PVEL’s (PV Evolution Labs) 2019 PV Module Reliability Scorecard for the PID (Potential Induced Degradation) test.

‘Solar Module Super League’ (SMSL) member, Hanwha Q CELLS, Q PEAK DUO high performance module series received ‘Top Performer’ recognition in the 2019 PV Module Reliability Scorecard, which is published by PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) in partnership with DNV GL.

Leading ‘Solar Module Super League’ (SMSL) member, JinkoSolar has been ranked as a ‘Top Performer’ in the annual PVEL ‘PV Module Reliability Scorecard’ 2019 report, for the fifth consecutive year in two of the four testing regimes.

Having acquired PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) in early 2014 by DNV GL the lab has become a separate legal entity again under the ownership of PVEL’s former founder, Jenya Meydbray.
