Sungrow has signed an agreement to supply 2.1GW worth of inverters to the Al Shuaibah PV project in Saudi Arabia, which will be the largest solar farm in the world once it reaches operations.

ACWA Power has signed an agreement with Badeel – the water and electric holding company of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) – to develop 4.5GW of solar PV projects in Saudi Arabia. The projects will represent an investment of SAR12.2 billion (US$3.3 billion).

Located in Jeddah City, the ASB project is said to be the biggest solar plant in construction in the Middle East region.
