Asia-Pacific independent power producer (IPP) Vena Energy has commissioned a 272MW solar PV project in Taiwan which it says is the region’s ‘largest’ to date.

Singapore-headquartered renewables producer Vena Energy has acquired a 162MW solar PV project in Japan from Spanish developer X-ELIO.

JinkoSolar Holding has supplied 95MW of its monocrystalline solar panels to Vena Energy Australia, an independent power producer with shareholders including Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) and China Investment Corp., (CIC), for use in the Tailem Bend Solar Project.

Company is also working on a neighbouring 111MW project as well as a large battery storage installation.
