The companies also signed a recycling services deal earlier this year, which calls for 5N to reprocess modules and manufacturing scrap produced by Abound.

“We are pleased to report that this agreement has been signed, following the memorandum of understanding with Abound Solar that we announced in January 2010,” said 5N Plus president/CEO Jacques L'Écuyer. “This agreement reinforces our position as the supplier of choice for CdTe in the solar industry.”

5N Plus also supplies industry leader First Solar and other CdTe companies with materials.

Abound is in the final stages of ramping its initial 65MW module-production line in Colorado to full capacity and has been shipping product for several quarters.
