The plant will feature 424,800 solar modules on a single-axis tracking system. According to Pöyry the plant will be Asia’s largest solar power plant with a tracking system. Annual generation from the plant is expected to be 207GWh.

Pöyry will provide technical assistance, until the plant is operational, scheduled for later in 2014, and also and operations and maintenance for the system until 2025.

Didier Mallieu, vice president of Pöyry's hydropower and renewable energy says Pöyry will support the Thai power sector “in its rapid expansion in the renewable energy sector”.

Thailand’s solar market appears to be gaining ground after stalling during from political turmoil.
