Prediktor is to supply Photovoltech with the APIS Click & Trace manufacturing execution system (MES) solution for its new in-line photovoltaic cell production plant based in Tienen, Belgium.

“It was of major importance to Photovoltech to invest in a very flexible MES system which offers, on top of the standard MES capabilities, an open structure, an easy upgradability without having to shutdown the product, reliable single wafer tracking and a creative database structure,” said Hans Vanelderen, engineering and maintenance manager at Photovoltech.

“The MES solution offers on the one hand an interface to our external data mining suite which has a huge added value for the operational floor while it incorporates the embedded and powerful APIS Analytics Data Mining module which we believe will be of great importance for our R&D activities,” continued Vanelderen.

Erling Fledsberg, executive VP MES at Prediktor said, “We are very happy that Photovoltech chose Prediktor’s APIS Click & Trace solution in competition with many other PV focused MES solutions, and believe that Photovoltech will benefit greatly from our strong PV industry experience, expertise on single wafer tracking and our solution’s strong process analysis functionality. We are excited about working with Photovoltech and especially working with their new and innovative solution for wafer marking.”
