PV manufacturer JinkoSolar has supplied PV modules to Hitachi Systems for a solar plant owned by Farmdo Corporation in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
As part of the order, JinkoSolar delivered 12.7MW of its high-efficiency PERC modules and custom built 36-cell and 48-cell dual glass modules for the project. This shipment marks JinkoSolar’s first in Mongolia.

The solar project stands as Mongolia’s first utility-scale PV installation. The installation covers 28 hectares of land and is expected to be connected to the grid in November 2017.
Supported by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment, 40% of the project's construction fees will be financed using a government subsidy.
