German football club Bayer 04 Leverkusen has signed a three-year sponsorship contract with solar giants JinkoSolar.

The deal not only provides Jinko with advertising space at the club’s BayArena but also grants it exclusive rights to install solar panels on the stadium itself. Last season, Bayer finished as runners-up in the Bundesliga and consequently Jinko will not only gain exposure during domestic matches but also in the Uefa Champions League.

“Both organisations have worked tirelessly to build the skilled teams required to reach the top of our respective sectors. United, we will continue to achieve our goals while shining a spotlight on the immense benefits of solar energy to a global audience,” JinkoSolar chairman Xiande Li said.

“We take great pride in aligning ourselves with such a respected sports organisation and believe this partnership will serve to further enhance JinkoSolar's brand awareness throughout Europe,” JinkoSolar’s chief marketing officer, Arturo Herrero, added.

Jinko will not be the only solar company gaining exposure courtesy of the Bundesliga next season; Yingli Green and Q-Cells have signed sponsorship deals with Bayer’s Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund respectively.
