The power will be sold at a tariff range of INR3.19–4.11/kWh (US$0.05-0.06) depending on the location. In a release, Azure Power noted that it also qualified for a capital incentive, which would bring the prices to a weighted average levelized tariff of INR5.29/kWh (US$0.08).

Azure Roof Power, the rooftop arm of Azure Power, has 150MW of commissioned capacity across 20 states.

Inderpreet Wadhwa, founder, chairman and chief executive, Azure Power said: “With this win, we have once again demonstrated our strong project development capabilities and are delighted to make this contribution towards the realization of our Hon’ble Prime Minister’s commitment towards clean and green energy, through solar power generation.”

Azure also won an additional 20MW of rooftop PV projects for Indian Railway — the largest rail network in Asia – last week.
