Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has awarded 250MW of solar out of a 1GW tender at the Dholera Solar Park.
The ceiling price was set at INR2.75/kWh and the L1 price for the auction ended at the same level with two companies submitting such bids.
The winners were as follows:
|Bidder||Capacity (MW)||Tariff (INR/kWh)|
|Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL)||50||2.75|
|Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL)||200 (bid for 250)||2.75|
The tender had gone through multiple delays and its final L1 bids were 10 paise higher than last week's solar auction for the Raghanesda Solar Park, also in Gujarat, which drew lowest bids of between 2.65-2.70 rupees. Both Tata and GIPCL won 100MW each in that auction as well.
The PV IndiaTech 2020 conference will continue to bring together all key domestic and overseas stakeholders, including government bodies, investors, and the leading companies today from manufacturing to O&M and asset management. To thrive globally as a major PV power beyond 2020, India has to succeed in unlocking its potential both to manufacture and to lay claim to quality utility-scale solar farms that are providing high returns on investment to site owners.
