SECI issues RfS for 750MW of solar in Rajasthan
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for 750MW of grid-connected solar PV projects in the state of Rajasthan.
Projects will be developed on a build own operate (BOO) basis anywhere in Rajasthan. The minimum capacity to be bid for by a single bidder is 10MW, with a maximum of the full 750MW. Projects shall be allocated in multiples of 10MW.
The transmission will be the responsibility of the developer.
SECI will sign 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the successful developers, with an upper ceiling tariff at INR2.68/kWh (US$0.039).
Winning projects should be designed for interconnection with the nearest substation at a voltage level of 33kV or above.
A 750MW solar PV auction in Rajasthan earlier this month drew in winning bids of between INR2.48-2.49/kWh (US$0.035).
