PanelClaw is introducing its ‘Polar Bear’ III, a new flat roof mounting system. The new Polar Bear product is said to take the best aspects of PanelClaw’s existing Polar Bear, ‘Grizzly Bear’ and ‘Kodiak Bear’ flat roof portfolio and combines them into a single platform with more competitive pricing.

Problem

Lowering the cost of racking without sacrificing safety and reliability is required to support faster installations times and overall BOS cost reductions at every stage of a project’s lifecycle.

Solution

Using 400MW of amassed project experience to design this next product evolution, Polar Bear III provides developers and installers with the same quality and permitting success they have come to expect. The system offers integrated roof protection pads, captured ballast and free water flow. The system also provides thermal compensation.

Applications

Mounting PV modules for residential and commercial flat roofs.

Platform

Accelerated construction is possible due to easy handling, pre-assembled bolts and dense packaging. The system employs built-in wire management pathways for greater safety and reliability. It comes with a claimed industry-first 25-year warranty and has been designed with advanced seismic behavior analysis and boundary layer wind tunnel testing.

Availability

March 2014 onwards.
