REC Solar offers residential solar solutions on Hawaiian island

PV installer REC Solar has announced it is now offering turnkey solar solutions for residents on the Hawaiian island of Oahu in partnership with solar company Sunrun.

As a result, residents on the island will be able to benefit from solar without high upfront costs. Furthermore, they will be able to lock themselves in with low energy rates for 20 years, thus helping them to lower their electricity bills.

According to a recent report by US Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), Hawaii will become the second largest residential solar state in the US in 2013. To date, REC Solar has completed more than 7MW of PV in Hawaii and will soon begin building the 14.5MW Anahola project for Kauai Island Utility Cooperative in the state.
