Satcon Prism selected for 15MW project in California

Satcon has been selected by Solon to supply 12 of its 1.25MW Prism Platforms for Pacific Gas and Electric’s (PG&E) 15MW ground mount installation near Fresno, CA. Each Prism Platform will be configured to include Satcon Equinox inverters, which deliver 98.5% efficiency combined with the industry’s widest thermal operating range.

“We partnered with Satcon because of their proven experience in delivering utility-grade power conversion solutions around the world,” said Dan Alcombright, general manager and vice president for Solon North America. “In collaboration with our leading partners, Solon is committed to meeting the needs of utilities while reducing total cost of ownership.”

Satcon will be also provide APEX Project Management services through the duration of the procurement, logistics, delivery, and on-site commissioning phases of the 15MW project project, which is scheduled to go online in October 2011.
