Thin-film CIS module developer Solar Frontier will be delivering 12,000 of its modules to the Aikawa Press Takane Plant Megasolar project in the Yamanashi prefecture, Japan.
The company was selected by Aikawa Press Industry to supply modules to the first utility-scale solar project in the private sector to start construction in the prefecture. The project will have a generating capacity of 1.8MW. Electricity will begin to be sold at the end of March 2013.
