United Solar is currently building a 100,000 ton polysilicon factory in Oman which it expects to be operational in 2025.

The company said that the new facility would produce 8GW of solar modules and 2GW of cells in the Sohar free port region of Oman.

The polysilicon factory will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons and is expected to be operational in 2025.
