
Chinese solar tracker manufacturer Arctech has secured 425MW of utility-scale solar projects in Central Asia, including a 325MW project in Kyrgyzstan and a 100MW project in Kazakhstan.
Both projects will use Arctech’s SkyLine II tracking system. The 325MW Kyrgyzstan project is located on frost-heave soils and gravel areas with complex terrain. Arctech said it developed a customised foundation solution and used the tracker’s terrain adaptability to address the site conditions.

The 100MW Kazakhstan project also faces frost-heave soils and varying geological conditions. Arctech applied site-specific engineering and foundation verification for the project.
The latest awards bring Arctech’s solar tracking and mounting system deliveries in Central Asia to more than 3.5GW, including over 700MW in Kyrgyzstan and more than 900MW in Kazakhstan.
The Kunshan, China-headquartered company has been expanding its presence across Asia, including signing a recent agreement with Indian solar developer ACME Cleantech Solutions to supply 175MW of solar trackers for a project near Duqm, Oman.
Arctech is also building a solar tracker manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia, which is expected to begin operations this year. The 15GW facility, its second overseas plant after Gujarat, India, will occupy 9,700 square metres of land leased from Saudi Arabia’s MODON in 2024.
The company recently secured a 1.5GW SkyLine II tracker supply agreement with China’s PowerChina for the Al Ajban project in the UAE. In October 2024, it signed a 2.3GW SkyLine II supply agreement for ACWA Power’s Haden project in Saudi Arabia.
Arctech has also supplied 1.5GW of SkyLine II trackers for a project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as well as signing deals for 240MW of tracker capacity in Uzbekistan and 242MW in India’s Rajasthan state.
