DayStar Technologies has enlisted the expertise of Ratson Morad (pictured) to head up its operations management. As COO, Mr. Morad will focus mainly on the company’s production facility and will report to CEO Stephen DeLuca. The company also announced the departure of Jack McCaffrey from the role of VP of Manufacturing, who has left to pursue other interests.

The Cluster for Application and Technology Research in Europe on NanoElectronics (CATRENE), a EUREKA programme, has announced its appointment of a new Chairman and Office Director. Following the recent resignation of Jozef Cornu, Enrico Villa takes up the role of Chairman, while Jacques Dulongpont has been named Office Director.

Dr. Immo Kötschau has joined centrotherm photovoltaics AG as Directorof Research and Development for the company’s new R&D center inBlaubeuren, Germany. He joins the company from the Hahn-MeitnerInstitute (HMI) in Berlin, where he worked on thin-film processdevelopment.

Sean Shao has tendered his resignation from the post of CFO of TrinaSolar to pursue other interests, it was announced by CEO Jifan Gao(pictured) today. His resignation comes into effect on March 31st,2008, and he will be replaced in the post of CFO on that date by TerryWang, who has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Finance.
