As illustrated in Figure 1, new technologies have emerged during this period and cell efficiencies have increased rapidly. The laboratory efficiency of a monocrystalline silicon cell has reached 26.7%, with the emerging Perovskite and Si tandem cell technology reaching 29.8%.
