Rainer Ott announced as DEGERenergie global sales director

Rainer Ott, sales director at DEGERenergie since early 2011, will take charge of the company’s global sales with immediate effect. Since joining DEGERenergie Ott has impressed as the business manager of the company’s US, Spanish and Greek subsidiaries. His new responsibilities will include the research of new markets for potential investment and developing the company’s international distribution network.

He has a wealth of international business experience, gained from previous tenures as a manager of sales and marketing departments for various technological companies.

Ott commented, “The energy turnaround has brought considerable movement into the global market for renewable energies. This, however, does not mean that the framework conditions in the solar sector have automatically become easier everywhere. Nonetheless, DEGERenergie is well-prepared for the often tough competition. We are well established on numerous international markets, can draw upon years of experience and well-tuned global distribution networks.”

DEGERenergie’s development and patent of a Maximum Light Detection (MLD) technology allows PV installations to track sunlight throughout the day and can improve energy yield by 45% when compared to rigid systems.
