Alphabet has announced a definitive agreement to acquire data centre and energy infrastructure solutions provider Intersect for US$4.75 billion in cash. 

Entergy Arkansas has announced plans to build a 600MW solar-plus-storage project to support a new data centre to be built by Google.

Leeward Renewable Energy has started construction at the Twelvemile 1 and 2 solar projects in Oklahoma, which have a capacity of 152MW.

Entergy commissioned a 100MW project in the state of Arkansas, while Ammper Power and Elawan signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) in Texas.

In related news, Google has signed a strategic long-term agreement with independent power producer Energix Renewables to develop 1.5GW PV.

New Green Power has announced an agreement to offer Google the rights to procure up to 300MW of solar power from its development pipeline.
