A 2021 market share report released by IHS Markit has placed GoodWe as the No.3 PV inverter supplier in Australia based on total annual shipments, with the report also ranking the company 6th globally. GoodWe’s own internal research and analysis further suggests that the company was the leader in the Australian residential and commercial rooftop segment for the same period.

JinkoSolar has begun construction of phase two of its latest n-type cell and module production plant at Jianshan, Haining city, holding a traditional ground-breaking ceremony at the factory location in the Jianshan Industry Park. Here the company will produce 11GW of n-type cells with an average efficiency of 25%, which may become the world’s first 10GW-scale factory to mass produce cells with an efficiency above the 25% threshold.

Trina Solar has announced that its 210 super factory  in the Chinese city of Yiwu has officially begun mass production of the company’s new generation Vertex S 430W module. Production capacity of the new Vertex series, including the upgraded Vertex S and 580W is forecast to reach 10GW this year, a figure expected to more than double in 2023.

JinkoSolar has announced the signing of a strategic co-operation agreement with CIMC Raffles, a leading offshore EPC company, to mutually develop offshore solar projects based on Jinko’s leading N-type technology.

LONGi has announced a new world record conversion efficiency of 26.5% for its silicon heterojunction (HJT) photovoltaic cells. The new record, validated in testing carried out by the Institute for Solar Energy Research (ISFH) in Hamelin, Germany, was achieved on M6 (274.4cm2) full-size monocrystalline silicon wafers, marking a new breakthrough in efficiency for large-size monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic cells.

With the market's increasing demand for efficiency and quality, monocrystalline N-type cells have over recent years become a hot technology for the industrialization of high-efficiency cells, due to their high oligomeric life, low photoluminescence, good low light response and high temperature coefficient. Among conventional PERT and passivated contact TOPCon cells, the boron diffusion process has restricted the development and industrial application of N-type technology due to its complexity in preparation, high temperature and high equipment and maintenance costs.

The project, with a total installed capacity of 70MW, is located in Cangzhou, in China’s Hebei province, and is fully equipped with Trina Solar Vertex 670W and n-type 690W modules.

JinkoSolar has announced the signing of a contract with Yalong Hydro for 287.4MW of its n-type Tiger Neo modules. Located in Sichuan Province’s Yajiang County, the project will exclusively deploy Tiger Neo bifacial modules (72c), further evidence of the growing popularity of Jinko’s high-efficiency n-type modules for large-scale projects.
