Single-axis solar tracker manufacturer Soltec will supply its SF Utility tracker equipment to the Floresta solar PV power plant in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.
The 101MW project, located in the municipality of Areia Branca, is being developed by Soltec’s customer Solairedirect-ENGIE. Solar trackers for the installation will be supplied locally to meet FINAME local-content conditions.

This stands as the third large-scale PV tracking plant executed by Soltec in Brazil, with the company reaching 551MW and holding last year’s position as Brazil’s market leader in solar tracker supply.

Brazil is primed to surpass 1GW of solar in 2017 as projects from three auctions between 2013-15 start to come online, according to the Brazilian Solar Association ABsolar.
